The location of this cottage was absolutely fantastic, right by the river in a peaceful and beautiful area. It was also conveniently close to the Northumbrian coast and other nearby towns and villages. The surrounding countryside was stunning and untouched, offering breathtaking views.
There were several basic amenities missing, such as tea towels, toilet rolls, and kitchen rolls. We were shocked to find that the kitchen area was not properly cleaned and we had to do it ourselves before cooking.

Our stay at Oake Cottage was absolutely delightful. We spent a few days exploring the stunning countryside surrounding the cottage, taking in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoying riverside walks along the Coquet. The location couldn't have been better, with easy access to charming villages, the beautiful Northumbrian coast, and even the Cheviot hills. The cottage itself was warm, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved being able to bring our pet along with us, and the proximity to shops, pubs, and restaurants was a bonus.
